ABOUT DAWN
Dawn Feltrop is an award-winning children’s book author whose stories are inspired by her real backyard chickens. Through playful rhyme, expressive characters, and meaningful social-emotional learning, she creates engaging picture books that encourage children to build courage, perseverance, and self-confidence while fostering a lifelong love of reading. Dawn is the author of Rosemary Chick: Pip, Zip, Hooray!, recipient of the Silver Writely Award for Best Social Emotional Learning (SEL). She lives in Derby, Kansas, with her husband, a lively flock of chickens, and several dogs who often inspire her stories. When she’s not writing, she enjoys spending time with her four children, three energetic grandchildren, and exploring the outdoors through photography.
